Matías Leonardo Palomeque, 31 years old, was arrested by officials of the Buenos Aires Police accused of fatally stabbing his ex-father-in-law in La Plata. The incident took place at 35 bis and 150, where Palomeque was arrested and charged with homicide and injury. The moment of the arrest revealed that the suspect had a cutting injury on his right hand, which indicated a struggle during the attack.

The tragic event began when Palomeque attacked his ex-partner with a knife, causing her an injury to her leg. In light of this violent situation, the woman's father, Marcial Araujo, intervened to protect her, resulting in Palomeque stabbing him in the chest. After the attack, the assailant fled the scene.

The prosecution led by Juan Menucci, head of UFI 5 of the Judicial Department of La Plata, has taken over the investigation of the case. It is expected that in the coming hours the accused will face interrogation, who has three criminal records for aggravated robbery and has served time in previous penitentiary centers such as Gorina and Penal Unit 9 of Villa Elvira.
